Highway Variable Message Sign Scenario
One of our mobile Variable Message Signs was configured to display an alternative route - road numbers. The scenario was that the M1 was closed between Junctions 28 and 29.
A sign was required at each end of the closure - adjacent to the entry slip roads - to advise drivers of the closure and an alternative route. The message alternated between:-
We have discussed this proposal with the local police responsible for this stretch of Motorway who are supportive. It requires Highways Agency approval.
