Our portable speed display system is used by the hospital for monitoring vehicle speed on private roads in hospital grounds. The speed limit on these roads is 15 mph. On close monitoring, cars were found to be travelling at 35 to 40 mph. However, following one week's use of the speed warning sign, and thus increased driver awareness, the average speed fell to 15 mph
For the last four years, the Environment Department has used our signs for their annual Road Safety week. Our units were placed in 16 different locations to provide increased driver awareness of their current speeds in speed limited areas.
